Who am I?

Aurora-, soon-to-be Seattle-based game developer with a decade+ of experience. Mostly a producer, very often a community manager, and sometimes a graphic designer! I've contributed to games like Map Labs, Portal: Alive & Kicking, and Team Fortress 2.I can do other things, too. Read below:

Production Work

  • Map Labs — Oct. 2018 - Nov. 2021 — Directed the development of games as a service-type content platform for over 3 years, focusing on monthly events and content releases while overseeing deadlines, content development, and team coordination efforts. Additional work includes community management, content curation, graphic design, level design support, localization direction, and writing. Currently remain as a consultant.

  • Rhubarb & Rhubarb (formerly Rhetorical Games) — Nov. 2008 - Dec. 2019 — Oversaw development of "Blue Portals" expansion pack, "Extended Play", and remaster. Co-directed the development of licensed Portal remake "Alive & Kicking" until 2019. Additional work as an artist and graphic designer, as well as extensive experience in stylized texture art.

  • Game Toilets — Apr. 2016 - Present — Project manager, organizer, and writer for personal social media-based documentary/journalism series about toilets in games.

Community Projects

  • Twitch Channel — Successfully ran a personal Twitch channel. Reached "Affiliate" status in one week through successful implementation of strong branding, high-quality presentation, and superb community interaction. Private unless requested, due to a desire to separate it from my identity.

  • Map Labs — Online level design competition community. Lead community manager, producer, and artist. Work includes building and maintaining the community through social media, all graphic design and promotional media needs, and pre-production on all hosted events and content.

  • GAME TOILETS — Account used to document toilets in video games. Entails social media management, comedy writing, and some graphic design.

  • Rhubarb & Rhubarb — Formerly Rhetorical Games. Community manager for all projects and the group itself. Currently silent by request of other developers.

Game Projects

  • Team Fortress 2 — Co-created the "Black Market Business" set - one of the most popular item sets in the game.

  • Portal: Alive & Kicking — An officially-licensed fan remake of Valve's hit game, "Portal". Development co-lead, graphic designer, texture artist, producer, and community manager.

  • Blue Portals — One of the most popular fan creations for Valve's "Portal" - served as the lead artist and co-designer. Assisted in writing the game's dialogue and lore.

  • Blue Portals: Extended Play — An expansion for the original Blue Portals, served as co-designer and art lead. Designed interactions for a major new gameplay element.

  • Portal 2: Eidolon, Photonic, Weighted Wonderland, & Weighted Wonderland 2 — A small mod and three levels, respectively. Created original art assets and co-wrote original dialogue.

Other Credits

  • Germination — Credited under previous name in-game. Helped publish the title onto Steam and handled updating of key art/promotional materials.

  • Valve Archive — Served as a Script Consultant for the "Half-Life: Uplink" and currently unreleased "Portal 2 Sixense" mini video documentaries.

  • Weird West — Credited playtester.
